Building Regina’s Plan To Prevent & End Homelessness ▸ On March 21, 2018, the YMCA of Regina hosted the Plan To End Homelessness in Regina Summit. It involved a day of approximately 125 participants from the community, non-profits, private sector, and all levels of Government coming together to offer input into Regina’s Plan. As part of this day, Alina Turner of Turner Strategies, presented on the specifics behind building Regina’s Plan, going over what’s unique about our situation and giving us a roadmap moving forward. Canada’s Most Vulnerable Without A Home ▸ On March 21, 2018, the YMCA of Regina hosted the Plan To End Homelessness in Regina Summit. It involved a day of approximately 125 participants from the community, non-profits, private sector, and all levels of Government coming together to offer input into Regina’s Plan. As part of this day, Dave French of A Way Home Canada, presented on youth homelessness through an Indigenous lens, expanding on the conversation using the Indigenous definition of homelessness. Regina Housing First Model ▸ In the spring of 2015 the Community Advisory Board (CAB) and Community Entity (CE) issued a Call for Proposal (CFP) for the development of a Regina Housing First Model. This model and implementation plan will provide guidance to the CAB, the CE, and community service organizations (CSO). The Regina Housing First Model will be delivered by a CSO (or consortium of CSOs) who are successful in responding to a CFP in early 2016. The Regina Housing First Model will be delivered in April 2016 to March 2017 to produce short term successes and form the basis for long term results.

The Regina Community Plan 2014-2019 was approved by the Federal Government June 2014. The Document was develeoped through community consulations and the charrette that was held at the Conexus Arts Center earlier this year. This document should be available for viewing here in October 2014.
